Eau Claire Extended Families 30 Sept 2017
It's always interesting when I get to meet family of family that I've photographed in the past which is exactly how I would describe this extended family photo shoot. This location is one of my faves not just because it is private and comfortable for the children, but because it is beautiful and full of love. I had a great time meeting new family members whether it be parents, a new baby or several new dogs. You guys are all so comfortable and easy going and I loved working with all these families. Thanks for inviting me back to update your growth! Enjoy.

The Magical World of a Harry Potter Wedding 24 Sept 2017
This wedding was particularly special for me due to the fact that the Bride is my 2nd cousin! I would've photographed her wedding in any case but when she broke the news that it was Harry Potter themed, I was over the broomstick excited at being asked to fill in. It was the little touches that made this wedding amazing. Melissa's yellow french tips and the yellow bow in her hair signifying her allegiance to the Hufflepuff house and Travis' blue suit with bronze accents signifying his allegiance to Ravenclaw house were just the start. All the houses were represented not only in the wedding party's attire but also on the table decorations and linens. (I was at a Slytherin table) The Bride's dress was GORGEOUS with the beads on her shoulders taking 2 hours of hand sewing during a fitting to complete. The long train and the veil just brought the whole thing to a level of class and sophistication that I love. The Groom's suit was just as sharp and really accented his dashing good looks. Such a gracious couple in a wonderful desert location! I had a great time seeing family, making new friends and documenting this beautiful day. There were a lot of cooks in my kitchen but I think in the end I got my own personal photographic visions across. I had been secretly hoping for some really unusual things to document and this wedding did not disappoint. A candy bar put together by her Grandma, stuffed owls holding the rings, Harry Potter books everywhere, personal wands perched beneath a deer Patronus, hand-made floating candle chandeliers, funky socks and a towering cake masterpiece were just some of my faves. Congratulations to Melissa and Travis. I wish you all the best.

Presenting the Nygards 16 Sept 2017
I think from the pictures it's pretty obvious that this couple has a great sense of humor and loves to joke around. They're easy-going and genuine and IN love. Mr. and Mrs. Nygard had a beautiful wedding at the Charleston Event Center which is an old bank building that has been converted into a beautifully rustic space. The grounds have been seasoned to look like someplace down South which makes for some fun photos on the dock, on the swing and of course in the little boat aka the SS Charleston. We were the first party to get to use the boat and the staff there seemed super excited about it. While the Bride, Adrienne, and her party got primped in the spacious suite downstairs, the Groom, Dan, and his party were playing board games upstairs (when they should have been watching you tube videos on how to tie their ties). Joking not joking. The mugs the guys are holding in the photos were a gift and are made from some sort of horn. Very unique and beautiful and a great prop if I do say so myself. The bride wore blinged-up Keds which was so smart and cute. It took longer for the wedding party to enter the ceremony than it did for the couple to get married. Seriously, shortest ceremony I've ever been to which just meant more time for fun! There were games during dinner, there was dancing and more dancing. Dan's grandmother has more energy than my little finger and was not shy about dancing to all kinds of songs! Love her. There was a late night snack and plenty of "Loons" love for the Minnesota United. I had a great time at this wedding watching this couple make things official. Enjoy the previews.
