Another gorgeous Fall day greeted me and the Winters family at Red Cloud Park. It's one of my favorite locations for colors and we really lucked out getting some pure sun coming through the brush. Always makes things a little more dramatic and saturated. This was our first time working together with the whole family, but Mom has been a favorite subject in her silly Holiday card shoots at our day jobs. The family may be new to me but it turns out, they're really secret professionals in disguise who are not new to being in front of the camera. Miss Adaline knows how to be casual and pop the poses at the same time. Calvin is just energy in human form! Mom and Dad handle it all with grace and laughter. A great family on a great Fall day. Enjoy the previews and I hope to work with you again in the future.

Roterings Recipe 10 October 2020
A recipe for a Fall Family Photo Shoot:
Take the Rotering Family (best as a set of 4)
Add Peak Fall Foliage (I mean seriously the colors this year!)
Mix together at Seven Bridges (other locations could be substituted)
Throw in laughing, loving and a touch of fart noises (always funny at any age)
Lay out under the perfect Fall weather day and enjoy the results.
Magnificent.
The Frischmann Fortieth Family Fotos 10 October 2020
Can you believe there are still couples who have been together for 40 years?! So impressed but after meeting them, not surprised. I think people are always curious as to what the secret is and with this family it's obviously a mix of love and laughter. They are all crazy and lovable and were so much fun to photograph. This is just a small preview of what is to come in the final products. Beautiful Fall weather at Quarry Hill Park hosted this beautiful family. Happy Anniversary Frischmanns. Red-Nosed Roterings 16 December 2018
The Roterings have officially been elevated into my top 5 families category after this photo shoot. I finally got a family to not just agree to take photos in Winter but be willing to have some snowy fun and bust out the Christmas jammies! LOVE that sense of adventure. After a couple reschedules for Winter weather and Winter blahs, we finally made it happen under the bright sun on their home farm. The boys are really growing into 2 handsome country gentlemen who love being silly and I really have to applaud Mom for buying the jammies and Dad for wearing the jammies! I had a ton of fun with you guys and I love your farm with all it's great textures. Hope to see you guys next year to update since Mom doesn't work as close any more. Gotta keep tabs on you somehow :) Enjoy.

Larson Clown Mafia 15 Sept 2018
The Larsons have done it again and produced one of the most fun and visually interesting photo shoots for me. I say this every year but I really do love that they are not afraid to try new things. It brings out their personality for sure despite the embarrassment of being the best dressed people at the fair. This might have been our most expensive shoot between admission, food "props" and carnival games. With the carnival theme, clown noses were a must to finish off the evening and they wear them well. Probably my favorite part was waiting for the ride to be in full swing behind them with the lights on and the family in their clown nose regalia. Leif has just shot up like a weed in this last year and is becoming a handsome young man. None of the family had ever thrown darts before so that was interesting. Jonah may have murdered a stuffed animal with a dart to the heart but we can't prove it. Cotton candy was also a first for the kids and sadly it wasn't even good cotton candy which makes me sad for them. We pushed this shoot due to massive amounts of rain this year and took our chances with the last official county fair of the year and the weather held nicely if not a bit on the hot and humid side. The carnival folk were unbelievably sweet and I'm grateful to them for helping me push this shoot just a little more with their colorful booths! Love you guys and beware of the man who dumps perfectly good popcorn on your head, he is trouble.
