The Stratmans Go Christmas Tree Shopping 5 December 2015

I actually shot these photos a few weeks ago but I wanted to hold them for posting here until the Stratmans had sent out their Christmas cards. Megan had the idea to do a Christmas themed photo shoot on a tree farm and after picking the perfect one we headed out with blankets in tow. I love the rows of trees and the lighting. It was an unusually warm December day which made this shoot even more of a treat! Even though I own an artificial tree it was hard to be there and not take a tree home so I found a little one and made it mine. Enjoy the Stratman's Christmas Shoot...

The O-so-fun Olsons 22 November 2015

Despite the biting cold of a November morning, this family was so much fun! It might be the love of fart noises, it could be the pirate smiles but I think it's just that they enjoy each other and that makes me happy. Despite the fact that teeth were chattering by the end they put up some great smiles, some awesome hugs and some even better natural moments. I think the last photo where Miss Lydia is attempting to smooch her big brother and he is letting his 6-year-old disgust out has to be one of my all time favorites! Enjoy the previews, I hope we get to do it again in the future.

The Hoys! 21 November 2015

I hear an exclamation point every time I say "the Hoys!" which just happens to go with their adorable smiling faces. I really can't get over how cute little Miss Maddie is. Her cheeks are out of control and it is ridiculously cute. I've photographed this growing family since before they were a family and I am just thoroughly enjoying watching their evolution. So now, I'd like to formally present the Hoy Family. Enjoy...

The Jones Family 1 November 2015

A great new-to-me growing little family! We had a couple other families and photo shoots to battle with at this super popular location but in the end, we prevailed. Little Lady Lily had the biggest, bluest eyes that really caught the light. We got her up on her feet with a little help from Mom & Dad and it's pretty clear that standing is where it's at for her. She is going to be zooming around in a couple months for sure. Thanks for letting me capture your family at this moment in time Jones Family. Enjoy...

Pink and Blue Part Two 25 October 2015

Preview photos from the second half of this extended family photo shoot. This little 2 year old lady just wanted to throw leaves and run and who can blame her, that sounds like fun to me! Adorable growing family. Grandma and Grandpa are so patient and kind when holding these little wiggle worm grandchildren. I'm glad the colors were still so vibrant and that we got to make this half of the family happen. Thanks for inviting me back out to finish up. Stay tuned and enjoy...

Jackson Senior Photos 25 October 2015

This was my first time photographing a guy in a senior photo shoot and it was so much fun! The property we used for this was absolutely AMAZING. So many great spots to use and then you combine that with the fall leaves and the dewy morning light and I just fell in love. Jackson was fun too once we got his blood pumping so early in the morning and then he really started to get into it. His entourage of mostly women followed us around and helped make him camera ready and even his kitty Winston couldn't help but get in on the action. His dad hauled that humongous chair out into the corn field and I really love the way those came out.

Thanks gang for letting me capture this momentous time in Jackson's life, I look forward to some snow fun this winter with the whole family!!!
