Cody Senior Pics Preview 27 August 2017

Ahhh, they grow up so fast. It feels like just yesterday that this kid was knocking on my door offering to mow my lawn. Now he is a handsome young man who loves being outdoors. Cody decided he wanted to take the bulk of his senior photos up on the bluffs which turned out to be an amazing spot. Sooo many textures and colors to work with including the muted marsh waterways, lush green brush, bright graffiti, orange dirt and weathered wood. Much like his older sister a couple years ago, Cody brought the model faces to match this dramatic scenery. He didn't complain about posing at all, which was really refreshing. Goose Island rounded things out for us and by the time we got there, after a DQ break, the evening light was absolutely gorgeous. I had a great time hiking around, enjoying a mild August day in the Driftless Region, doing what I love. Enjoy the previews!

The Larsons Go Glam 26 August 2017

I love photographing the Larson family year after year. They're a handsome, loving family who is willing to try new themes each time that sometimes sound crazy. They totally commit too, which makes it so much fun for me. This year after weighing the options, the Larson family decided to go glam! They got all gussied up and we strutted our stuff through the amazing Charmant hotel in dowtown La Crosse. Bow ties and suspenders on the guys, fancy hair for the girls and the perfect retro-chic location really make this shoot stand out. It was a busy Saturday morning filled with dogs, brunching and tiny gourmet chocolates. The serious looks in some of the photos kill me. Loved this shoot. Loved this location. Love this fam! Enjoy.

Sweet Baby Rae 5 August 2017

This was my first time photographing at that other hospital in town (wink, wink) and it was brighter than I was expecting, although a little outdated. Little lady Rae had her tiny feet facing the wrong way for delivery so it was time to wedge the bun out of the oven. Such a cute peanut weighing in at just over 5 lbs, everything about her felt delicate and small. I love her wild kitty theme, it really goes with that tinge of orange hair up top. She was pretty mellow and just loved being cuddled by her pops. Hope I get to follow up with this fam and see how things change. Thanks for inviting me in during those precious first few days! Enjoy...
