HVH Newborn Photos 18 September 2016

I love this little guys initials and if you knew his full name, I think you'd agree it's very distinguished. He was pretty unsure of me invading his home space as seen in his face when he looked my way but what a beautiful space he has! LOVE the design of his room, the custom artwork and all the little touches are straight off of HGTV or Pinterest. I think my favorite photo of Henry is the one where he and mom are lying on the bed facing each other and their profiles are spot on with the wrinkled forehead and eyes! A really cute little guy who as his mom put it, was "molting" and working on growing some new skin. Loved getting to meet this little man and spend some time with his family. I hope we meet again. Enjoy.

1, 2, 3, 4, I Declare a Paint War! Larson Family 23 August 2016

This was definitely one of my most favorite photo shoots of all time. We battled viscous bugs galore and if we all didn't have a mosquito-borne illness before, we most likely do now. BUT, the fun prevailed in the end. I absolutely love how these photos came out and I hope the family does too. I was so excited to get the opportunity to do a photo shoot like this and to do it with the Larsons just makes it over the top fun. They are adventurous, funny, loving and beautiful! Thanks and enjoy.

Brynlee Turns Three 21 August 2016

I love families like this that come back to me over and over because it is so much fun to see how the children change in just one year. Brynlee is becoming this articulate, sassy little lady who as you can see is about to be promoted to the position of Big Sister! Lots of love and laughs on this shoot. I crack up at the photo of Brynlee and the giant gnome with the belly like her mom's! Such a joy. Thanks again Stratman family. Enjoy.

The Carley Kids Just Keep Gettin' Cuter 15 August 2016

I really mean it too, the Carley kids just get cuter and more handsome every year. E, the middle child, was the star of the show this year! He was more willing to pose than any other time I've photographed him. Mom picked him up for what will probably be the last time as he just keeps growing. The boys are of course boys and love to make the funny faces but that makes me laugh and I love it. Little Miss K is talking now and I love that she can tell us her mind...and doesn't hesitate to do so. She is so amazing with her brothers. It's always been obvious that they love her but to see her run toward them with a huge smile on her face and big open arms is just priceless. Big brother J who has eyes that could kill, is getting braces, so I hear. He is getting so tall and has enough energy to be able to scale the brick walls in my favorite alley. Great job guys, can't wait to see whats changed next time I see you.

The Rowdy Rotering Round-Up 11 June 2016

The thing about family is that they will hug you even when you're a hot, sweaty mess. How do I know? Cause this family did it over and over again despite the heat. I love the textures and colors that photographing on a farm like this brings out. The weathered painted barns, the corrugated steel, the rich greens, yellows and reds and the warm evening light streaming through the trees. There was a lot of wrangling going on behind the scenes of this photo shoot, not just with the kiddos but the "adults" too. I had a great time running around with this gang. I think they made me laugh just as much as I made them laugh! I love the hot pink cheek kisses, I love the 2 year old meltdowns and I love getting to know all of you! Thanks for letting me in to your lives for the evening. Enjoy this brief preview of the massive amount of photos we took.

I love this last photo. They look like little stock brokers making deals on their lunch break. So serious and intent.

Boys and Their Toys 2 May 2016

More specifically, Brycen and his tractor are a match made in heaven. He absolutely loves his hand-me-down, fully-restored, treasure of a tractor and it shows all over his face. Big Brycen here has just turned 2 and his mom asked me to do some photos updates with him on their family farm. I think this may have been my first time being on an actual farm and I thought it was such a great place to take photos of a 2 year old. Brycen is all boy for sure and knew the name of every machine that whizzed by us. He took me to visit some of the cows and had a great time throwing some cow feed up in the air. I love his face when he is talking to a neighbor dog. He looks like he is plotting some sort of serious adventure and is asking for the dog's help. I also love the photo of him with his big sister - they are such cutie pies who are so much fun to hang with in person! I hope this is one of those families that I get to watch grow up cause so far, I've had a great time with them. I was also really impressed with the level of excitement showed to the grandparents when they came home. It reminded me of my own dog at the end of the night (I promise that is a HIGH compliment as I am so obsessed with my puppy)...lots of running and giggling and smiles and love. Thanks for showing me around the farm, it made me laugh to have a baby cow chewing on my shirt! Enjoy the preview pics of 2 year old Brycen...

THE END.
