PACEY Wedding 7 Oct 2016...aka The Kramers!

This Star Wars/Star Trek wedding was out-of-this-world, pun intended. I don't think I could have possibly had a better time at a wedding so I can only imagine how much fun everyone else had! It was all about the little touches that made this day themed...the Bride's bouquet in a light saber hilt, the pips indicating a rank of Lt Commander on the Groom's collar, the Imperial March music, the custom-made wooden toppers on the spacey cake, and of course the Tribbles being held off by a Bride and Groom team who came fully equipped to kick butt. Set in Hillsboro, Oregon, the bohemian venue was tranquil and woodsy. It sits in the middle of a bustling roadway complete with an octagonal barn, tall pines, weeping willows, lights on strings and mossy hideaways that make you feel transported to another planet. Time flew right by starting with snapping photos of the ladies getting ready at the salon through the whole night of dancing, dancing, and more dancing. There was Hula dancing, swing dancing, slow dancing, jumping, singing, toasts, kids waiting for cake, and TONS of love. I really can't say enough about how perfect this couple is together. Paul is absolutely the mirror of Kacey and I'm so glad they found each other. Cheers to a happy life! Enjoy...

Osley Family Tearin It Up at Ferguson's 2 Oct 2016

Okay so they weren't really tearin' it up but it just sounded good. Cute family. I took pictures of mom and dad several years ago in an extended family anniversary session. They didn't have any children back then so it's kind of funny to meet up again with them and BAM: instant family as far as my world is concerned. Anyhow, great first-time-pro-location-photo-family. Yeah, it's a word. Ferguson's apple farm and pumpkin patch was crazy busy but we managed to find some quiet spots to get snuggly. The leaves are turning a little slow this year but the warm sun, orange pumpkins and lush apple orchards provided some really nice Fall surroundings. Enjoy!

Ericksons Extending the Family Love 1 October 2016

So many laughs generated on this family photo shoot. They're so warm and outgoing and welcoming. There's nothing like a hug from a genuine Mom at the end of a shoot to make you feel good. Thanks Michelle! Love all the little funny bits....at least they were funny in my head. Mogan, Nick = Jake, Natalie and Chris: I don't know what to do with my hands!, etc. This was my first time out at Perrot State Park and it's definitely going to be a new favorite spot. We really lucked out getting the sun coming in. Forecast was for rain at first then downgraded to clouds and finally the sun came shining through. You can't see it in the photos I posted here but the whole family standing on the dock look like they're floating on the river, the water is so calm behind them. Love you guys. Hope to see more of you in the future! Enjoy.

And Then There Were 4 Stratmans! 25 September 2016

Bryce is here! Well actually he's been here for coming up on 3 weeks but he has finally arrived on my blogosphere and so I celebrate that with an exclamation point. Cute little guy who is totally a mini me of his dad. Even sleeps with his head above his head just like dad...see evidence below. Brynlee is super excited to be a big sister and is going to be so funny when Bryce gets older and starts to shadow her. Not much else to say here. Things got easier to shoot and much cuter the further in we got on this shoot and surprisingly, the more full his diaper got. Funny. The boy is clearly a Packers fan from birth too, cheesy grin and all....get it...cheesy... :-) Anyhow, glad I could be there for Bryce's first days as the 4th and newest member (not counting Brewer the dog) of the Stratman family. Enjoy the previews and stay tuned for his 3 month updates which will be here in no time.
