A newborn session for the recently hatched Teddy was on the agenda but catching up with my little buddy Henry was also called for. Him with his little sippy cup of milk after a long days work as a State Trooper chillin in the beanbag just kills me. Anyway on to the new baby who is as mellow as they come. Teddy almost slept through the whole session but was kind enough to open up his eyes and check out what was going on in the window behind for a good 10 minutes or more. A professional baby for sure. I love doing newborn session in the baby's new home. It seems so much more personal and stamped in time when you see life as they lived it in 2018. There is a case to be made against timelessness as a definition of photography. Sorry deep side though there. Anyway, Teddy is cute as a button and looks more like his mom than his bro, HVH. These two are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with I can tell. Henry will lead the charge and Teddy will follow gallantly behind. Enjoy the previews, it was fun catching up!

Winter Is Here February 2018
Winter is here in the North and as such most families prefer to be inside when updated pictures are called for. I had 2 sets of takers to my proposal of mini family photo sessions in exchange for modeling my Etsy goods. Since I don't have any young family of my own, this is always a valuable exchange for me. I constantly get asked by customers about sizing and photos always help to accentuate the point.
First up was the Sauer girls. I cannot believe how grown up they are getting. I can still remember when their mom announced she was pregnant with the youngest and now she is 6! Crazy. Older sis Lexi with her high energy, has her father's funny faces down pat and little sis Kate is more on the sweet, mellow side.
Second on the docket was the Hoy family. These girls are spot on mini versions of their 'rents. Baby Jana's eyes are as big as marbles and her smile is worth every ounce of effort it takes to make it happen. Big sis Maddie is getting so chatty and her high little voice just kills me. She's at what I think is such a great age where her personality is really starting to shine. Bubbly, bright and beautiful, these girls were so fun to hang with on Valentine's Day!

Theyhadababy Eetzagirl 11 February 2018
It's another girl for the Frischmann fam and the twilight zone is at hand. She looks just like her big sister but with a different hair color! This is always such a fun family for me to photograph. They're so easy going and they have no problem just being who they are. Big sister Carrie serenaded me with Moana's greatest hits while the new Miss Sam was so interested in everything that was going on, she missed her morning nap. She seems super smart to me. Big eyes, smiling already and a tiny mullet make this gal a gem. Big brother pupper Cooper was always close at hand monitoring my access and interaction with his girls which I just love. The robot boots and the pink football helmet, of course, made an appearance. Beautiful job Frischmanns, I can't wait to see how she grows! Enjoy the previews.

A Completed Set of Elders 22 October 2017
For some reason, when I say this, it sounds creepy but I really don't mean it to be...I finally completed my set of Elder children! I've been photographing various branches of the Elder family for several years now but this was my first chance to photograph the youngest brother, Josh, and his cutie patootie bride and baby. So in a sense, I have been collecting these Elder families like Garbage Pail Kids Cards for years and I finally got the elusive "Adam Bomb!" I know, creepy. Anyway, this was my first time photographing Josh, Rebecca and their newish baby who looks a ton like her momma. Little miss Abby had a great time sampling the leaf varieties off the ground and I enjoyed watching her parents keep snatching them out of her mouth. Very funny. Young humans who are meeting me for the first time produce some interesting reactions when I cackle in their face and Abby was no exception. She seemed to enjoy my cow moo the best as well as her dad's orangutan screech. Red Cloud Park provided some reliably beautiful fall colors if not a little soggy from rain the night before. In the end, I think we got some great images of both the whole family together and just miss Abby by herself. I hope I get to see you guys again as your family grows (wink wink) or at the very least, as everyone gets a little older. You did a great job at just being cute. Enjoy the previews!
